We all adhere to the BACP's code of conduct and ethics. We are all DBS checked and our certificates are updated annually.

Everything that you say will remain confidential. However, in some circumstances, in the interests of keeping you safe, it may be necessary to contact your GP and/or the school Safeguarding Lead, or your parent or carer (if you are under 18). Your counsellor will be happy to explain this more fully before you begin.

GDPR policy

We need to keep a certain amount of data (e.g. contact details, GP, next of kin etc) in order to be able to function as a counselling service. We may also take short notes after sessions, all of which is kept in locked filing cabinets. 
Our email is password- and two-step log-in- protected. 
During the first session we will discuss all of this with you and ask you to sign a consent form to show that you agree to us holding this data.
